They might not know until they try it but once they’ve tied their first guy rope or paddled their first SUP you’ll struggle to tear them away. The best holidays for kids are those that involve running around in the great outdoors, learning new skills and showing off what they’ve learned to proud parents. Of course there is plenty of opportunity for family competitions, tournaments both in and out of the water to see who will take home their family cup – sure it’s just an oddly shaped stone you found on a local beach, but it’s also so much more than that. It represents the memories made that will last a lifetime (and that time your youngest was better at kayaking than you – shh!).

Family breaks can require lots of planning and itineraries but with so much to do in and around Trevassack Lake, you’ll have the best family adventure holiday without even trying. Whether you come for a family break or a half term holiday, our location in south west Cornwall means if you can tear the kids away from the water, you won’t have to go far to find more to amuse them, with beautiful beaches but a stone’s throw away.

Our family holiday destination is self catering, with an on site café to help with rumbly tummies once you’ve all dried off – it’s located on the water’s edge, beside our learning centre, so you can enjoy a coffee with a view. This part of the world isn’t short of places to eat for even the fussiest child and in particular, we’re not far from Roskillys (ice cream + farm = happy families).
