Disabled Holidays in Cornwall

We offer accessible holidays in Cornwall for people with disabilities, wheelchair users, limited mobility and SEND requirements.

Our site has the only Changing Places Facilities on the Lizard – and we’ve got two! One inside the main building by the cafe and another in its own separate cabin for those accessing the water.

Both are fully accessible and accredited by the Changing Places scheme and feature electric hoists, fold down changing tables, shower, toilet, sink, mobility chairs and plenty of space.

Wheelchair-Friendly Things To Do

Cornwall is known for narrow lanes and quaint, cobbled coves – but there are also plenty of places that suit the less mobile or people using wheelchairs.

We’ve started putting together a list of places we’ve been, that are worth travelling to when staying at Trevassack. When our guests recommend a day out, we pop it on this list for you to try. That way, on your disabled holidays, Cornwall can be explored safely and with less hassle.

Accessible Watersports

Trevassack Lake was developed with accessibility in mind, and the ethos that we only offer activities that are available to all, regardless of ability or disability – so whether you want to try sailing, SUP’ing, kayaking or open water swimming, our hoists, adapted craft and experienced staff are at hand to help you get out on the water with ease. Disabled holidays in Cornwall have never been so fun!

3 Fully Accessible

Our three, purpose-built lodges welcome all, with state-of-the-art equipment such as electric ceiling hoists, profiling beds and adjustable worktops. There are no steps anywhere on site, just a slope up to the level overlooking the lake, where you’ll also find three adapted cabins, suitable for those with limited mobility but with free-to-book accessibility aids as required.

Property Guides

For full descriptions of the layout and accessibility of our properties, we’ve created individual Accessibility Guides on our Accessibility page.

You’ll also find all the additional disability equipment and aids that we offer for no extra charge.
