We stayed at Bradbury house it had everything we needed for our daughter who is wheelchair user full time and have alot of health issues. What is so good is the our daughter was able to do most of the water activities with us it was a real family holiday. Thank you 😊 Mike Price5 September 2024Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Outstanding accessible accommodation - we have stayed in Claire Milne House twice and are going again next summer. The house has been perfectly set up with wheelchair users and those with mobility needs as a priority. Lots of space, sliding doors, accessible bathroom, hoisting in the bedroom and bathroom and even a hoist for the hot tub! The lake has lots of accessible activities and the cafe does a cracking Cornish breakfast 😊 staff are lovely, nothing is too much trouble and it’s such a peaceful and relaxing environment. Incredibly helpful staff making it possible for our wheelchair user son to get out on the water. We have a lovely family holiday. Beverley14 August 2024Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Just wanted to thank the team and the Clare Milne Trust who funded the exceptionally well adapted accommodation, making it possible for us to have a wonderful holiday. The setting is lovely and the accommodation itself feels luxurious. We also booked two water sport activities. To be able to go out on the lake with a full time wheelchair user, was amazing. We will be returning. Laura Meader18 June 2024Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Wow! Another great week spent at Trevassack Lake with the family. Loads of opportunities to spend time together, on and off the water. And thanks for organising the great weather too... When can we come back?? Barbara Rottenbury10 June 2024Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Thank you Trevassack for a wonderful holiday. A beautiful setting, peaceful and relaxing. The accommodation, situated on the lakeside, was excellent, spacious, very well equipped and comfortable. The food at the cafe was fantastic, particularly the Cornish breakfast. Everyone was friendly, cheerful and more than helpful. Any needs that we had were dealt with immediately. We will most certainly be booking again. Victoria Luker20 May 2024Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Excellent facilities, friendly staff and great choice of water-sports for those less able. I could easily glide around the house, deck and grounds without assistance. My husband and friends were also able to enjoy a well deserved break, without the need to assist. Thank you for giving me such a wonderful independent week and sailing experience. We will see you again soon! Ps. The food is the cafe is great too! Sheryl Baker25 March 2024Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. To come somewhere which has been developed so thoughtfully for those with disabilities and to have such support and acceptance right through from booking to the stay itself is rare. Bradbury House is a treat; it is impeccably equipped and has amazing views. Even on a gloomy March morning it is the perfect place to relax. The staff and the Children's Sailing Trust instructors couldn't have been more helpful. To be welcomed and looked after so well by everyone was a such joy. Babs B24 January 2024Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. We had the absolute pleasure of staying at Bradbury House for two weeks in January. Our home was a building site, the local authority had agreed a disabled facilities grant to build a large bedroom and accessible bathroom, with hoists for my husband, who is totally wheelchair dependent. The local authority thought it unacceptable for us to live at home while walls were being demolished, what with the dust and noise. So they used part of the grant to pay for us to stay at Trevassack. We had been there before so we recommended it to them. Our stay was perfect. Bradbury House is like the love child of Ideal Homes for disabled people and Grand Designs. As soon as you arrive, I guarantee you will say WOW, several times. It is designer disabled... if you know what I mean. You don't feel disabled, the house is amazing, hob and work top that lowers enabling a wheelchair user to cook dinner or make a cuppa, the wet room is stylish and huge. It also has a lovely long bath - bonus. There are H track ceiling hoists, profiling beds, ordinary beds, mobile hoists, beautiful furnishings, hot tub, oh, I haven't mentioned the view... Bradbury House sits on the lake shore, so beautiful. The staff are friends, nothing is too much trouble. I love them all. The watersports are second to none... I didn't join the cold water swimmers however, I opted to watch from the hot tub..... I can, hand on heart recommend this fantastic place. As someone who can usually find at least one fault with somewhere that declares itself ‘accessible’… it was an absolute joy to stay in the Clare Milne House for a... read more week and have everything considered. For my wheelchair using brother with CP it was fantastic that we had great ceiling mounted hoists, a profiling bed, spacious wet room and interconnecting carer bedroom. Wide doorways, flat thresholds on all doorways and an accessible hot tub- the thought in making the accommodation as accessible as possible really made a stress free trip away. A wonderful lake with accessible floaty boat and great cafe topped off the experience. One of the first family trips where I couldn’t really find fault with the accommodation, activities and service- thank you Trevassack Holidays.

May 3, 2023I can't recommend Trevassack Holidays highly enough! Having stayed for the first time in September with a School Friend and our Carers. We Were so impressed we booked again for... read more a week on the 25th January and once again had a Fantastic experience! With us both having Cerebral Palsy. Usually going away as one disabled person is stressful enough half the battle is making sure you can fit your Wheelchair into the room comfortably before adding a mobile hoist and shower chair into the mix. Even when you do find a good accessible place there is always a compromise, (i.e. They are no profiling Beds or a travel hoist not be able to fit under a bed because the bed is too low!) Happily this is a huge weight off the mind as Trevassack can provide all these facilities at no extra cost. Nothing is too much for Jackie, Deborah and the team. I can honesty say I don't think I have ever stayed in a place like Trevassack. It manages to have the balance just right between having the equipment a person with a physical disability needs, without ever feeling remotely close to a Clinical environment. The best bit about Trevassack is the location and the accommodation. All the houses overlook the lake which provides a breathtaking view wherever you are. As well as the houses there are converted shipping containers that can be rented out for smaller groups perhaps the most unique thing is that all the accommodation buildings have their own Hot Tubs on decking at the rear of the properties. A special gantry hoist is available so getting in out is made a lot easier for the wheelchair user, The Accommodations is very well thought out and the fixtures and fittings are of a extremely high standard. This place is a little Gem and I feel very grateful to my friend who found this place, which has enabled us both to have 2 great trips away!

I just wanted to thank you and... read more all the staff at the lake for making the visit so memorable. We had two fabulous meals in the cafe including our last night's dinner for seven on Saturday with Charles and my sister. For my part I am simply gob smacked at how a derelict and neglected old quarry has been utterly transformed into a perfect holiday destination for all sorts of families. You thoroughly deserve teh accolades that have come in the shape of prizes and I am sure that more will follow. Very very best Philip Beresford

October 18, 2022Brilliant. Amazing place, staff and first rate facilities. There are... read more too many positive aspects to cover fully in a review of this type here but the ethos , design and execution all seem joined up in providing a practical, welcoming and beautiful space for disabled guests. My own view was that things were carefully and fully thought through in the design and provision of the cabins and cottages. The environment itself is well managed, quite ruggedly landscaped around a reclaimed quarry, and stunning. The lakeside café is first rate and water based activities are provided by experienced and supportive staff.
