Accessible Watersports Holidays in Cornwall
We are passionate about providing the best watersports activities at Trevassack Lake for you and your family. With our expert instructors and quality equipment you can be sure to have an incredible experience out on our beautiful, private and secluded lake. No matter what your level of experience or ability we have activities to suit all. You can book a private instructor for you and your guests or you can join in on any of our planned sessions. You can sail around the lake in one of our sailing lessons, glide and explore the lake by kayak, learn to paddleboard or take part in one of our wild swimming sessions. There really is an activity for all of the family.
We also have a variety of accessible watersports activities on offer with our specialist equipment and instructors. Our fabulous ‘Learning Centre’ is accessed via ramps and automatic doors and is level throughout. Our public facilities include a ‘Changing Places’ room and accessible wet-room and toilets. Level pathways with safety surfacing will guide you around the site and at the lakeside you will find wide, stable pontoons with ramp access and hoists to help those with limited mobility onto our adapted watercraft.
Our activity staff are professionally trained with experience of teaching young people and adults with special educational needs and disabilities. We offer integrated watersports sessions with adapted equipment so visitors with physical disabilities can participate in group sessions and focused sessions so that visitors with special educational needs can learn at a pace that is right for them.
Winter on the Lake
When we reach the quieter winter months, the water isn’t open every day – instead we like to book on a bespoke basis and put on private sessions just for you.
If you’d like to get out on (or in!) the water during your winter holiday (November through to June, subject to availability, weather and staffing) please enquire at the time of booking so we can make sure you get to enjoy our watersports!
Get on the water
Sailing
We have a fantastic fleet of sailing boats at Trevassack Lake and there is also the option to book onto a variety of sailing activities on the beautiful Helford River. In addition to our standard sailing boats we have a fleet of Hansa 2.3 and 303 dinghies that are ideally designed to offer that first sail. Take to the water alone or with an experienced sailor by your side, either way you will have a memorable and fun sailing experience with us.

Kayaking
Develop your skills or simply explore the lake on one of our kayaking sessions. We have double and single kayaks available to use and we provide all the equipment you need to be comfortable out on the water.
Try something new
Paddleboarding
Trevassack Lake really is the perfect environment to try Paddleboarding. We have a fleet of single SUPs as well as mega SUPS that can take up to 6 on the same board!
But how can this be accessible? The Mega SUP is super for holding a family or carer with or without a person supported on our specialist beanbag.

Family Fun
Watersports at Trevassack Lake are best enjoyed together and we offer a complete watersports package for groups and families. Choose from one of our activities or try a range of watersports with your family or group. You will be designated a private instructor for your session so that it can be tailored to suit your group.
Choose from any number of the following activities: sailing, kayaking, paddleboarding, raft building and wild swimming. You can even bring your own kit.
8 - 14 years
Wet ‘n Wild course
This multi-activity accessible youth sessions are a fantastic way to spend your holiday and experience a wide range of watersports on adapted equipment.
Activities can include kayaking, sailing, stand up paddleboarding, raft building, team games and wild swimming. We aim to try each of these activities at least once on each course.
